Westco AV Returns to the November Hi-Fi Show with a Sonic Experience to Remember

After years of hiatus, Westco AV made a powerful comeback at the November Hi-Fi Show, held last November 16–17, 2024, at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati. Nestled in Room 509, we welcomed audiophiles, AV enthusiasts, and industry professionals to experience our latest lineup of high-fidelity audio and AV solutions. Our room was abuzz with energy, excitement, and immersive sound that captured the attention of long-time followers and curious first-timers alike.

One of the weekend’s highlights was our special Saturday afternoon session featuring live music by DJ Agnes, accompanied by complimentary wine and snacks for our guests. The atmosphere blended premium audio with a laid-back social vibe, offering a unique showcase that went beyond just sound—it was a full-on sensory experience.

Exciting news from WESTCO AV! We’re proud to share that we’ve been awarded Silver by K-Array for our work on one of the best restaurant projects—the newly opened Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill Philippines .

The award was presented during the prestigious K-Array Global Distributor Meeting , held at their headquarters in the scenic Tuscan village of Scarperia e San Piero . This recognition highlights our dedication to delivering premium audio-visual experiences that elevate world-class spaces.

At the heart of this installation are the KGEAR GF42 and GS6 —two standout solutions from KGEAR’s performance-driven lineup. Last September 19–21, 2023, Westco AV proudly participated in iAcademy’s highly anticipated SODA Week 2023—an annual celebration of creativity, innovation, and design. Invited as an industry partner, Westco AV brought a hands-on audio visual experience straight to the students, showcasing high-performance solutions from globally renowned brands including K-array , KGEAR , Frog-is , Merging Technologies , and Sonarworks .

Throughout the 3-day event, students had the opportunity to try out professional-grade equipment and explore the cutting-edge technologies that power concerts, theaters, studios, and immersive spaces worldwide. From powerful sound systems to room calibration and acoustic enhancement tools, Westco AV opened a window into the real-world applications of AV technology.

Highlighting the event was a special guest talk from Vincent Jason Peñalosa , Westco AV’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, who took the stage to share a compelling look into the history of the audio visual industry in the Philippines , and the exciting career prospects that await students who pursue this fast-evolving field.

Westco AV proudly hosted the official launch of Sonarworks SoundID Reference last April 21, 2023, at our Kalayaan showroom — a gathering that brought together audio professionals, engineers, producers, and enthusiasts from across the industry.

Held under the theme “Create, Mix, and Deliver with Confidence,” the event showcased how SoundID Reference is redefining how audio is mixed and monitored in today’s increasingly mobile and acoustically varied environments. This intuitive calibration software ensures consistent, reference-grade sound whether you’re working in a treated studio or on headphones — eliminating guesswork and ensuring your mix translates across any playback system.

The program featured insightful talks from two respected voices in the audio industry. Mike Pedero , Chair of the Audio Engineering Society (AES) Philippines Section , opened the seminar with the topic “Things to Consider in Designing Your Project Studio,” offering valuable guidance for those building or optimizing their creative spaces. Jek Penalosa , VP of Sales and Marketing at Westco AV and Treasurer of AES Philippines , led the official product launch and deep dive into the capabilities and practical applications of SoundID Reference , reinforcing how it empowers creators to produce confidently in any environment.

Attendees explored interactive demos , experienced the software in action, and capped the evening with dinner and networking — exchanging insights and building connections within the vibrant Filipino audio community.
